Owner Alan Waller welcomes you to A.P.H. Waller &
Sons Antiques.
"We offer
an extensive selection of fine 18th, 19th and early
to mid 20th century antique furniture, fine
art, lighting, decorative accessories, marine
antiques, and antique garden ornamentation. I specialize in
paintings by The Boston School and the Cape Ann
artists and in nautical antiques
reflecting the the rich seafaring heritage of New England"
A conversation with Alan:
How is yours different from other antique shops?
"My approach to the antique business is based on
forming strong, long-term relationships with my
customers. Our partnership-based approach
distinguishes us from other shops."
What do you love best about the antique business?
"People: who they are, what they create. There is an
excitement to each day: engaging new and fascinating
people; discovering objects of great beauty and
craftsmanship, and exploring the history that these
objects represent. To me, the antique business is
endlessly fascinating. That's what I enjoy sharing
with my customers."

Why did you become an antique dealer?
"I grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts, a lovely
seaside town that, to this day, has some of the
finest untouched 17th and 18th c. architecture in
the country. My family has lived there for 15
generations and I was fortunate to be part of a
community of people who had kept their
heritage alive with a deep reverence for their past,
it's history and artifacts. My first job was
working for an antique dealer when I was 12 years
old and I had a shop of my own by the time I was 22."
"That background, combined with my endless curiosity
and enthusiasm for meeting people from all walks of
life, found its perfect expression in the antique
business."
